Duration: Approximately 6 months
Venue: Fitness Studio, Grand Fitness Gym and home

Hey boy, if you ever read this back, just remember that you are once this fit.

It all started...
...with a dream. Yeah, standard line. Six months ago, I was really nothing, and I never imagined how will I look like right now. Initially, going to the gym was about trying out new things and doing something different. Gradually, the purpose of going to the gym changes. Then, I started to think back how the process happened, and I can clearly tell myself, good job!

It wasn't easy. It wasn't hard.
Building muscles was not that easy as I thought. Previously, I always think that people who go the gym will naturally have big body...until I tried it out myself. Going to the gym is one thing, what you do inside that gym is another thing. I have to admit that I'm quite fortunate to have a friend who is a body builder, in that way, it really saves me a lot of my precious time learning how to handle those equipment and to work out properly and correctly. Things just get easier when you are finally familiar with what are you doing. To continue what you are doing repeatedly, that's the hard thing. Sometimes, you really don't feel like doing anything at all. And sometimes, you just get impatient; you are doing the same workout, day by day, week by week, month by month, and the changes are so minute. Just be patient, as your body don't just grow overnight, as the saying goes, rome is not build in a day. Definitely you'll meet up with people bigger than you, stronger than you, but please don't compare and compete with anyone, make them your motivation and work hard for yourself, it's not about how heavy can you lift, it's about training within your limits and working out effectively.

Motivations...motivating and demotivating!
Whatever you do, please stay motivated. What really motivates me? Too many. Setting a goal at a time, and try to achieve within a time. I like to be inspired, and I allow a lot things to inspire me. Nick Cheung is one of them, even that guy can make it, why can't I make it too? Music inspires me a lot too, in the sense that it's giving me some kind of mental support during workouts, of course, not any love songs please. Mirror is also a kind of motivation, whenever I finished my workout, I usually spend some time flexing my body in front of the mirror, it may sound strange and awkward, but trust me, it really motivates you, to train to harder, and to be better. Well, what's demotivating then? Too many, too. Whatever you do, there will be people who are going to demotivate you. Fact. That's kinda normal. There will time when your friends started to persuade you to stop working out, they meant no harm, but just constantly remind yourself, you are the one getting what you want, no one else. Just take it as a joke and continue to work for what you want. There will be also time when you start to question yourself, 'Why am I doing all these, they are so hard and so heavy...', just do it!

Diet...
The hardest of all is to resist what is going into your mouth! You are what you eat. But honestly, I don't really follow any diet plans. I just have a clean diet whenever it's a workout day and avoided junk foods, that's all. Also spend some time learning nutrition for your body, apart of knowing what food is good for you, it also speeds up the process of getting that kind of body posture you wanted. To be frank, ever since I started all these, my lifestyle changed a lot, I no longer take supper, no late night sleep, no alcohol, never skip any meals. It was very hard to adapt this kind of healthy lifestyle in the early stage, but as time goes by, you'll get used to it. Of course, sometimes, I still cheat, in the way that I will still go for my late night nasi kandar with my friends and still booze a little bit during special occasion.

So this is how my workout meal looks like...

It's really challenging to stick on a clean diet, with Fb and Instagram around, with all those temptations. Haih, sometimes it just feel so wrong! So I usually cajoled myself, 'Just eat whatever you want but make sure you get rid of those extra calories!' Therefore I always gave myself one-day-off, to go eat whatever I want at the Friday night pasar malam. I will be there like every week, just to satisfy my taste buds for a little while. Breaking free! Then the day after, an extra 30 minutes of cardio exercise to balance things up.

Some thoughts, some words to say.
I'm writing all these to inspire myself in the future, but I would be happy if I can inspire whoever is reading this. If I compare my body to those other body builders out there, I'm definitely not in the league. At least, I have tried very hard and gave all in whenever I'm training. I'll be leaving my hometown to further my studies in Sabah, and I'm also afraid that I'll be losing what I'm having right now. Hopefully, there are some facilities there for me to continue to workout. Come to think about it, sometimes I'm really happy for myself, I'm not sure whether is it gifted or what, I just like to dream and to start chasing after my dreams and to make sure I realise that dream. Again I'll say, staying fit or being healthy is not that hard, it really depends on how fit you really want to be. 6 months of discipline and determination proved me right.
Getting ready for the next level. Never stop believing in what you can do and dare to be different!

Adios, Penang. Hola, Sabah!

No longer working, almost everyday at home, doing nothing.
Walao eh, sipek sien leh
Spent most of the reading, well, that's odd, it only happens when I really have nothing to do.
And I don't know whether this is true or not, when you have nothing to do, you tend to fall ill very easily, like, me...
At least something happened this week, giving me something to write about...

C is for charity.
It was last Sunday, when I took part in a charity event, done some meal packing, met some nice people, and to continue to have faith in humanity. Sounded a bit noble, but it's something I usually practice. Giving back to the society and helping out those in need wasn't really that hard. Feeling kinda great when you see the amount of meals packed kept increasing and honestly, unity is something powerful. In short, what's is charity to me? I would say, It's a responsibility towards the society, an attitude towards life, and a commitment towards myself.
By the way, here is a link of what is all about the charity, Stop Hunger Now

And then...
Suddenly, my days in this island became countable. Yes, I'm leaving my beloved island for my studies, counted some boxes in the calendar, and I have 40 days more at here. It was exciting, but I'm not really prepared yet to face this. 40 days left?!! I spent almost 20 years here and the time has come for me leave this place a little while. Come to think about it, it's really a one in a lifetime experience, to go study at a university so far away from home, to temporarily escape from the city life, and to begin a new chapter for myself. It's a bit cool when you actually needed to take an air plane to reach your new school. How about that?

40 days left
I'm not sure how fast or how slow 40 days will pass. At the meantime, suddenly, you felt you have so many things undone yet. It's subtle...trying to make an happy ending. Regretted for some mistakes made earlier on and I began to doubt whether I have enough time to make amend for that. Sadly to admit, I'm not happy at all since the month began. This shouldn't have happened.

Hoping for the best
The fact is, time is running short, whether I like it or not. Having my fingers crossed that things will get better eventually. I believe good times are about to come but I dare not to expect much.

It will get better.

Dear B,

I spent one night thinking about whether should I say something about this or not, and this is for you.
Nothing really that emotional, but I really hope that we can solve this barrier, rationally.

The past few days was not easy, something went wrong, and it's obvious that you and I can feel that, it was awkward. If I knew it was a joke from the beginning, I really won't risk myself asking that kind of question. Now that I'm hoping I can time travel back, so I won't have to feel so bad and regretting what I have asked. To be frank, I wasn't mad, but disappointed, and it lasted for a few hours that day. The hope was high, and then suddenly, I fell from so tall. That's hurt, and I never expected that to happen.

I tried to consider things from your side, maybe you are on some kind of intention, but I believe you are not. Okay, it's hard for you too, being in that kind of situation, I understand. Maybe is who is going is also making things hard for you to find answer to reply me, I understand. Maybe you're also feeling uneasy for what have you said, I understand. But who am I to you, I hope I understand. What have I done wrong? The barrier is growing and I understand if I don't go do something, I'll regret even more.

Now I know I risking myself again writing all these.
When can we talk again? 1-2 days later? 1-2 weeks later? Or..
I don't wish that to happen.

I don't blame you neither I'm mad at you. I just hope that you can be true to me, that's all I wanted.
Because you're really somebody to me. Can we solve this, please?

Sincerely,
Me.

Finally, some courage to say something about this...

The flash-back...
18th March 2013, probably one of the saddest day in my entire student life. Just so bad, so sad. Never been in such situation, to be frank, and it was just so hard to take it. Hardly believed at what was I holding - my result slip...nearly broke into tears in front of so many people, lucky that I was able to hold it until I reached home...The next two days was totally hell to me, that kind of feeling is far more worse than seeing your crush going out with the other guy...okay, some humour; broke down into tears in front of my family members and I think I freaked them out...It's been so long since I last cried, really cried...This sad moment is really haunting me and I find it hard to get along with it, until...

What was on the mind, at that time?
Disappointment. Dejection. Agony. Frustration. I-NEED-A-SANDBAG.
I can't take it, really, after all those hard work poured in, and this is what I got? Why is the conversion rate so low? Why? Tell me... At that moment, all hopes was gone. The hope of entering my most wanted university was shattered, those prepared admission documents looks so useless, everything was so dead. Was that a dream, no, it's reality.

Where went wrong?
I spent a lot of time thinking, where went wrong? Blamed myself for the lacklustre performance every time this question resurface inside my mind. After so many weeks and months, I think I had something to reply to myself. Perhaps it was because I set my goal too near to the exam date, I'm not sure whether is it valid to make such conclusion, but I think this got something to do with it. I always have this piece of mindset with me, studying is my responsibility, so I just study, having to think that it's just my responsibility, until I realised that I needed a goal to achieve further. Realising this was a bit late...
Of course, they say luck plays a major role when it comes to things like that, but somehow, I just don't wish to consider luck as a contributing factor, it's somehow too discrete, luck can't explain everything. Right?
In short, I should say that I work hard, but not smart. I set goals, but it was not solid enough.

Until...
It was not a easy, picking myself up from that kind of painful experience. I don't wish to repeat how bad is that feeling, but every time I think about it, I just couldn't control myself from feeling dejected. But at least, for now, that kind of feeling is getting better. It was actually a enlightenment from an uncle, apparently a stage-4 nose cancer patient. He is a very healthy living guy, but still got himself diagnosed with such disease. But what he does was not giving up fighting for himself; and I still vividly remembered what he said, 'It's definitely sad to hear for myself, I have cancer? But if I were to stay stationary and do nothing, I won't be here right now with you all.' It came to a point to realise for myself, why are you not moving on? Things won't help if you were to stand there and be sad over the same thing over and over again. For this, I really need to thank this guy, my uncle.

So, what's the plan?
Hmm, honestly, I don't have a plan yet. But what I will do next is, not to expect too much, yea, to work on step by step. While I'm making the past a lesson for myself, I really wished I can fully let go this piece of sorrow when the time comes. I suppose I will be continuing my studies at the far-far-away land, then let it be, I want begin all over again at there. It's a bit sad to admit that, my dreams has been shattered, but I do hope my passion will bring me far, so I can still rebuild my dreams with that.

The off-topic...
Huh, thanks if you're still reading at this point. Well, June is coming to an end! June is not really a month for me, but look at the bright side, it's coming to an end. Haha.
I'm really looking forward for July, a month where I just to want to enjoy myself, reconnect with my friends, hopefully I can get myself a trip to Redang Island, and to stay happy, at least for 31 days?
July, please be kind to me.

Okay, I guess that's it for tonight. Au Revoir.

Ding dong! And it's almost half way through the year already and things just happened that fast...
Allow me to say one thing first: I miss school, so much, so much...

How was life?
The typical way to start a topic. Well, I will call it a 'robotic' life...because everyday is like a repetition. Nothing much happened actually as I'm always doing the same thing most of the time - working. It's getting boring lately, and I even started to think about what to eat for lunch as early as I step inside the office. And you won't how happy I'm whenever I hear "six o'clock p...m...six oooo'clockkkk.....p....m...."
Ya, that was life...but that's only life at the surface. Underneath it? That's the thing. Sorry if I took too long for the intro...haha!

The journey so far...
Everyday is still a challenge to me, in both ways, positive and negative. But I’m glad to say that things are still so far so good. Day in day out, from meeting people of different classes, to learning up things beyond the textbook, to cope with the so-called ‘pressure’ and the list goes on and on…And after 5 months of working, I just felt that I’m beginning to miss out those little things in life – details. I call still recall at the start of the year, I have said that I want to try as much things as possible while I’m young. Without denial, I have been living ‘crazily’ these recent whiles and have tried different things, from lifestyle wise, to material wise, to food wise and to almost everything that is worth trying! No harm trying new stuffs right?
One more thing; I miss school, so much so so much! You know that thing people always say: When you’re at school, you want to leave; When you’re at work, you want to go school…It’s very true. Guess that I have no need to mention what I miss about school, I guess everyone who left school knows this feeling…But what  am I really missing out?

Some observations made...
How do people stay connected? Ask this question to anyone, I bet it’s hard to reach a common consensus. The fact is, I’m beginning to lose contact with friends in the virtual world, as well as in the real world. But what I’m really concern about is for the latter. Fb is no longer the social site I use on a daily basis, but why? I personally find it hard to go keep track on what’s really going on, get bored scrolling continuously just to find something worth reading. Another reason is because I’m afraid of seeing things that will affect me, like mentally or emotionally...Better to play safe than sorry?
What I wanted to say is, I really missed my friends, ya, those form six guys. Ever since graduation, many of us have been heading to different directions, and it seems like something is fading, so slow without you really noticing it, that kind of bond, you know? We still hangout, maybe like once in a few months time, and the last time was a mini gathering with those study mates, until now. I really enjoyed myself whenever they organised gatherings like that, you feel surrounded, you feel safe, you feel warm. I was hoping that I'll get jio-ed every time and I will make myself present every time. We can go have a meal, than a cup of coffee, where all those coffee talks begin, and we can go talk about anything, laugh like nobody's business, and to enjoy ourselves until we can totally lose track of time. That kind of feeling is priceless. As June is approaching, and we are getting nearer to enter university , when can we still gather together, again?

Some lessons learnt...
Have to say, I learnt quite a lot, in the hard way due to my working environment. Learnt to plan ahead, learnt to put on more responsibilities on the shoulder, learnt to protect myself, learnt to talk in the correct way, learnt to be independent. Enough for what happened in work...Have been working out in the gym for the past three months, and one thing good about that place is what my current surroundings is lacking - passion.
That's the one thing most of them share there. Regardless of their sexes, age, or how they look...they just do it. I always have this misconception that yoga was meant for the girls, guess I'm wrong. I always think that dance classes are meant for people with great body figure, guess I'm wrong again.
In the end of the day, what I learnt is that, don't just because someone says you can't do it, then you don't do it, just set yourself free, let the passion flow, and just do it! You haven't seen how well can those plus-sized girls dance, you haven't see how well can men perform in a yoga class...
I can even see my 'barely-visible' six pack in front of the mirror! Opss, sorry yo!

The verdict...
Five long months, seen a lot, learnt a lot, changed a little. Some feelings, they stay inside me, and I'm still struggling to cope with that, and sometimes when the feeling grow so strong, it's just sick to be me. When can I really learn, to let go and to erase that kind of feeling that had been haunting me for so long? Why is this happening to me? More time required, guess so...
Okay, just leave that aside first. That will take a while.
All I need was a listener, a shoulder for me to lean on when I need one. I'm that kind of guy who share good things with people and keep those bad things for myself. That's the problem you see. I got my friends, but friends that I can really talk to...nil. Simply because I don't wish to make my problem part of their problem. And sometimes it's not about the reluctance to voice out, is just that even tho you say it out, would that go make a difference? Keeping mum was just a way to not make things go worse. Most of the time I blog, tweet, just hoping that it could help to ease me a little bit. But it seldom works for me...CAN SOMEONE HEAR MY FUCKING PROBLEM?!! (I think I'm sleepy right now...and sorry if this is making things sounds sad)

What's next?
Just hoping June will arrive earlier and ends earlier, so I can quit my job and to prepare for varsity.
Some things I really want to do, to go travels, either alone or go jio some friends who wants to travel too. Still have no real destination in mind, better start thinking! Then also before varsity, I should really go spend some time reconnecting with those friends that I'm beginning to forget how they look like...
One more month to go, hang on!

Sometimes it's good that you are alone, at least you can still hear from yourself. Being alone is being simple, but being simple, doesn't mean being ordinary. Take five, slow down, think, contemplate, and reflect.

Me and my coffee talk.

kia...lim teh, anyone? mai say bo jio

Until the next time.

Penang Hill 02.04.2013

Suddenly got this idea of going all the way up to the Penang Hill at night. It seemed to be quite bizarre to go up there on a very normal day, alone, and ask yourself: What are you going to do?...For the sake of "Shiok Lor!"...

That was my first visit since they upgraded the train, and it was a fast train, just took a couple of minutes to arrive at the hill top. Well, there was not really much activity up there at night, I think there are the only two things operating, one is the ticketing booth, and the other is that restaurant called "Sky Terrace". A very quiet place for a tourism spot I should say, maybe it was not the festive seasons. There are still tourist up there, most of them was doing photography though.

Okay, why Penang Hill? Erm...I just wanted to get 'disconnected' for a little while, away from the city life, away from some thoughts that I'm still struggling with...I just needed some mental boost. Going up there alone at night is something spooky, it so quiet until you can listen to your own breathing. It was a very nice experience, to feel the cooling breeze, to witness sunset, to observe the city transform into night - the lights, the cars, the buildings, to try to catch some fireflies and to let them glide through your hands freely...

The night view was spectacular. As a Penangite, I never knew the night view of this city could be that breath-taking, until I witnessed it by myself. It's really beautiful.

I'll go up there again on my next work leave. This time around, to witness Penang changes from dusk to dawn! Haha, that would be too long from now.

So, lets give the photos do the talking.

It did not happened in February. So, it'll definitely be this month.
It's already March, a very important month for me though. At one point you realised that this is most probably your last chance to shine, to achieve something as a student, and began to predict what kind of future you'll be having, they are just making me nervous.
Been recently writing university application essay, and I'm still one more paragraph upon completion. Amendment after amendment, yet I still can't find a way to finish it. Should I complete it before I receive my results? Or should I complete it after I receive my results?
..................

I think I'm ready for this...err...but I think I'll really break down if things happened the other way round.
But honestly speaking, just somehow, I got the courage to dream big as the D-day approaches. Whether is this a good sign or not, I'm still pretty much clueless. I don't usually have this kind of courage, perhaps the goal was clear: I want to go somewhere, be someone and achieve something. I do pray that this feeling is not an illusion. Dear March, please be kind to me.

I always hear people say this, "You must be brave enough to dream in order to live with that dream."
Yes, you are right. So, keep calm and continue to believe.

Signing off.

Chinese New Year is celebrated every year. Receiving angpaos, greeting everyone Gong Xi Fa Cai, wearing new clothes...Things like that remained the same. However, as our generations progress, something just changed, of course, still in a healthy way. Hmm, G.E.N.E.R.A.T.I.O.N.S.

The annual routine. Every year after the reunion dinner, I still join my cousins for the firecrackers session. The fun part was having a little cousin brother in the big family. Thankfully, he is the one who is keeping the childhood alive. Seeing him playing those firecrackers was like a reflection of what actually happened during our time. A decade ago, we was once like that. How much do you remember?
Sometimes when you think back, those silly moments will really make you laugh all day. Once upon a time, firecrackers was something 'superpower' to us. Usually, we just placed the firecrackers on the ground and light it up, and when you saw it burning, you run as fast as possible, just to get to the safest spot and covered up both of your ears. That's the play safe way. Few years later, you light it up while holding, waited until it burns to the very end, then you throw. Finally, it exploded! Maybe it was too loud and it triggered the alarm of those vehicles around. What happened next? Either we just act like as if it was not us or one word - RUN ! After some many years, PopPopPow is still among the best. We still chase among each other just to toss it on someone. I don't know whether this happened to anyone of you, but it's certainly something that once happened to me. My cousin brother was trying the unpack those PopPopPow, maybe he used too much force until it spills all over the ground, and while he is trying to avoid it, that moment really made my day. Did that actually happened to anyone who knew what PopPopPow is? Perhaps you are smiling right now, or perhaps, this is also happening during your time, your generation. After all, it's the cacophony of firecrackers that make the icon of Chinese New Year, isn't it?

It happened, I didn't really realise. Food. Have you ever realised when it comes to home cooked food, they are always the same, and you're eating it for almost every year. Honestly, it's just something that I just realised. Haha! I had been helping to prepare for the reunion dinner in the kitchen these recent years and I still dubiously asked the same old question: How much salt arh? How much of this? How much of that? I don't know why the answer will always be: Agak-agak toh ho! How many or how much is agak-agak?... Somehow it just taste fine when you are done with it. Generations to generations...family recipe...it's hard to explain through words and texts, it's like something you would understand if you had also been through that. Yah, you know? Then what else didn't I realise? Normally after dinner, while we began to find our own entertainment, there will a group of people still staying behind at the dinning table, but not having any food this time. Seeping wines, or any other liquors, and you'll be hearing things like somehow just sounded familiar to you. Even you don't go near to listen what are they actually talking about, you can also know what will they be talking. They talked about the economy, politics, and most of the time, they talked about what happened during their time. The elder of the family have been talking on the same topic each year. Soon, you'll hearing one of them laughing, the way he laugh is really hilarious, and then more people started laughing. We? We just joined them and laugh...there was no need for a reason why we laugh, they laughed funnily, and you funnily laughed at them. Simplicity at its best. Perhaps that the way they reminisce their past, their collection of stories, moments.

That was obvious. The fact is, we grew up. The sense of fashion, the pursue towards material seems to develop, still in a healthy way. Everyone just know how to dress up, pretty and smart. How far had we progressed? It used to be Pikachu wallet or a Hello Kitty purse, what are we having now? The list goes on. We used to gamble with coins, at most a riggit note. How big is your bet now? The refrigerator used to supply us with soda pops, beer was never an option to us. Gradually, the ratio of both of them became the same. Finally, beer outnumbered soda pops. The piercing and hair-dying culture became generally accepted. Okay, I realised that. I'm an occasional drinker, I still play poker cards, and I'm just like everyone. Just that I don't pierce and dye my hair and I don't really enjoy gambling, I'll Never Win! Maybe  if I start to win...Haha! Then comes Technology...smartphones and tablets. Ya, they just became part of our life. This is how I observed my generation changed. I still find it acceptable, maybe years later, we'll have more talking points, maybe technology was meant to help us store more precious moment.  Meanwhile, I'm also afraid that, maybe years later, do we still interact the same way? What were we doing back then, when Apple was just a fruit so as Blackberry?

I'm thankful that I'm born in generation where the transition between the old-fashioned and the modern-today takes place. Even there exist a transition, something still remained the same. Grandma's steamboat still taste the same, the culture that I practised remains the same, what I remembered about my childhood never changes and Chinese New Year is still Chinese New Year. And yes, I'm glad to say that: Hey, I'm a Chinese, specifically, a Malaysian Chinese. Once again, Happy Chinese New Year !

From.Then.Now. How much has your generation progressed?

A month of only 28 days...and I'm getting a little bit worried
Ever thought of losing?
Ya, maybe that's the thing that is making me worry.
What if hard work never pay off?
What if in the end, you achieve nothing?

Okay, it's about my results that is making me worry.
Getting 6 As in SPM two years ago was a lesson to me, not to say I'm too particular of getting all the A's, but somehow I still find getting 4 B pluses was something painful to me. Man, what if those B+ was actually A- or even better? That was a frustrating moment, I knew I can do better than that. An 'A' will always sounds better than a 'B'...was that really important? At this moment, maybe - Yes.

For the past one and a half year, things was really tough for me. Turned out to be a very different game play. On one side, I'm taking STPM. On the other side, I'm doing my diploma in graphic design. Honestly, STPM was the major concern. Ironically, I'm beginning to fear that I'll be beaten by it.

So how did the whole thing happened? In order to not let history repeat itself, I have been working extra hard for the whole bloody form six. Maybe that was a little bit too exaggerating, maybe the first six months were more like a honeymoon thing. But I still have to admit that I have gave the next 12 months all I have, even my mum asked me whether am I still normal...
I still remember those time when me and my friends were studying together. Their academic performance were excellent throughout the year and I'm lucky to have them as friends. They were really humble guys and I learnt quite a lot with them.

But then...when you realise you are running out of time in covering everything syllabus you should know before the 'big game'. Going through those sleepless nights, you really wanted to have some rest, but you keep telling yourself: Don't Stop! Then came the time you started to get fed-up. You are studying the same whole thing over and over again but still can't be able to understanding what are you studying. Finally, you understood, but it was more like collecting a drop of the ocean, and there is still so many more. Exercises, notes, books began to fill your table, soon the floor, then the whole room. Sometimes, you finally have enough and planned to call it a day, went online, just to find someone to talk to and you realised there is actually no one you can really talk to because it's already so late in the middle of the night. You began to think of things you shouldn't be thinking. Getting emotional. Fell asleep on your study table and having body-aches the next day. Even when you are sleeping, it's the body that was resting, but the mind wasn't. Feel like giving up and just let it be...

Amid those frustrating and helpless times, sweet moments paid a visit too. Some motivation came in and some self-motivation began to develop. Jason Mraz and his song was a saviour to me during those hard times, I liked his songs very much because they were easy going and those lyrics were really motivating and meaningful to me. L.O.V.E is a four letter word !
On a lucky day, I still received text messages from friends, just like me, fighting for their own dreams. Encouraging and motivating each other, just somehow to ease the tension.

I won't go think about getting a CGPA of 4.0 because I'm nowhere near there. I do hope that I can still obtain a decent CGPA that will allows me to keep chasing my goal. What if history happens itself again?

Whatever it is. Things like that are beyond my control. At least I know, I have gave it everything I got.
Gonna stop thinking for a while and just enjoy the coming Chinese New Year first.
Pheeeeew, feeling better right now.

Hey there, I'm back.

January is coming to an end again and I'm really enjoying this month, not only because my birthday falls on this month, or maybe because it is the first month of the year and I still feel fresh doing things I'm doing now. Well, was quite busy for the past few weeks, working! Some new faces, new environment, and my colleagues? They are all much more older than me, making me the youngest worker in the office. At least I can still admit I'm young...

Thinking back of those part-time job I have done while waiting for my results...
I have been a waiter before, back in 2008, 15 years old.
I have been a promoter before, back in 2011, 18 years old.
And now, finally I'm working in a office. A logistics company.

Waiter. Quite a fun job, maybe it is because I'm working for the first time. I like it because finally you're getting paid, although it's just 5 ringgit per hour, but that's quite a lot when you get your pay all at once. Eventually, that was a tough job. Tough in the sense that, those dishes were really heavy, speaking fluent English at that time was quite a challenge to me, having to resist the temptations of those aroma of those dishes and when it happened when you went to work empty-stomach...
Fun part of that job? You get to eat good food over there and drinking free flow of carbonated drinks, although they were those left-overs. I don't really mind about that because when you are really hungry, any food just taste great. Maybe at that time I was a bit too young to work, I tend to get extra care from the group of people who are working there, so...HAHA !!!
If you ask me when is the time you learn to speak well? I think that waiter job was the time.

Promoter. Have to admit, that was a mundane job...Or maybe it is mundane because I am ordered to promote at a not-so-famous-supermarket. Basically, those consumers who went to the supermarket knew what to buy before hand, so no matter how hard you tried to persuade them to buy, they will look and you, then they smile, and walk away... pathetic. Anyway, I was a beer promoter, so I have expected that would happen in a small scale supermarket. But, it was still fun. I met up when a guy, who aced his STPM and is currently at UK under scholarship. On typical days, we usually chat, played poker cards during our working hours, hearing him explaining alcohols to me in terms of chemistry, and also...peeping...on...err...YOU DON'T SAY ! Can't blame us for that, it is just too quiet over there during normal hours.
Although it was much more a sinecure job but a heavy decision was made from there. I was advised to give form six a try, and now, I have completed form six. How time flies...

Working in an office. Finally, a highly anticipated job for me. It's a well-organised workplace to work at. Departments after departments. Computer screens. Fax machines. Photocopy machines. Non-stop phone ringing. Those cool business terms. Office chairs with wheels. A drink-and-eat-whatever-you-want pantry. Sounds professional. Was that fun? Until now, NO !
The workload is real scary. But luckily I'm still able to handle that. I admired my colleagues for them being able to give full commitment towards their job. Or maybe I'm still new to such environment, it took me two weeks to go fully understand how things work, how domestic and international trades run, and also all sorts of ports around the world. It is really an eye opener for me this time. My colleagues have been telling me to be productive and efficient from day one till now, and now I'm 'intoxicated'. And I thought playing Tetris Battle on facebook would trained to me have fast fingers, guess I was wrong...I still type the slowest among them...haih. I got scolded for making mistakes, and sometimes I get accused, things like that happened when messages are conveyed wrongly, and usually that's not my fault, and yet I got scolded for no reason. I'm not sure weather 'scold' is the right word to use or not, or should I say 'scolded in a gentle manner'? Cincai lah...You do this. You do that. You take this go there. You take that from there. You go meet him at 3rd floor. You take this to her at this place...and the list goes on. Again, things like that happens when you are new, and it always happened. But, it's okay to me, I am here to learn.

So, for my friends out there. What I want to say is, if working is still not your core responsibility, then try not make 'earning-money' your first priority. Of course, we work because of the money, but from my personal experience, at this age, it is still about learning. If you focused to much about the money, then perhaps you may lose the fun of learning. We are still young, maybe it is better to lower down the ego-ness and to learn and adapt from the environment you are currently in.

But just because it burns, doesn't meant you're gonna die. You've gotta get up and try and try and try. - P!nk

So this is how container seals look like.
Some 'souvenir' for me.

J'ai reçu votre carte d'anniversaire.
Merci, mon ami.
