Ding dong! And it's almost half way through the year already and things just happened that fast...
Allow me to say one thing first: I miss school, so much, so much...
How was life?
The typical way to start a topic. Well, I will call it a 'robotic' life...because everyday is like a repetition. Nothing much happened actually as I'm always doing the same thing most of the time - working. It's getting boring lately, and I even started to think about what to eat for lunch as early as I step inside the office. And you won't how happy I'm whenever I hear "six o'clock p...m...six oooo'clockkkk.....p....m...."
Ya, that was life...but that's only life at the surface. Underneath it? That's the thing. Sorry if I took too long for the intro...haha!
The journey so far...
Everyday is still a challenge to me, in both ways, positive and negative. But I’m glad to say that things are still so far so good. Day in day out, from meeting people of different classes, to learning up things beyond the textbook, to cope with the so-called ‘pressure’ and the list goes on and on…And after 5 months of working, I just felt that I’m beginning to miss out those little things in life – details. I call still recall at the start of the year, I have said that I want to try as much things as possible while I’m young. Without denial, I have been living ‘crazily’ these recent whiles and have tried different things, from lifestyle wise, to material wise, to food wise and to almost everything that is worth trying! No harm trying new stuffs right?
One more thing; I miss school, so much so so much! You know that thing people always say: When you’re at school, you want to leave; When you’re at work, you want to go school…It’s very true. Guess that I have no need to mention what I miss about school, I guess everyone who left school knows this feeling…But what am I really missing out?
Some observations made...
How do people stay connected? Ask this question to anyone, I bet it’s hard to reach a common consensus. The fact is, I’m beginning to lose contact with friends in the virtual world, as well as in the real world. But what I’m really concern about is for the latter. Fb is no longer the social site I use on a daily basis, but why? I personally find it hard to go keep track on what’s really going on, get bored scrolling continuously just to find something worth reading. Another reason is because I’m afraid of seeing things that will affect me, like mentally or emotionally...Better to play safe than sorry?
What I wanted to say is, I really missed my friends, ya, those form six guys. Ever since graduation, many of us have been heading to different directions, and it seems like something is fading, so slow without you really noticing it, that kind of bond, you know? We still hangout, maybe like once in a few months time, and the last time was a mini gathering with those study mates, until now. I really enjoyed myself whenever they organised gatherings like that, you feel surrounded, you feel safe, you feel warm. I was hoping that I'll get
jio-ed every time and I will make myself present every time. We can go have a meal, than a cup of coffee, where all those coffee talks begin, and we can go talk about anything, laugh like nobody's business, and to enjoy ourselves until we can totally lose track of time. That kind of feeling is priceless. As June is approaching, and we are getting nearer to enter university , when can we still gather together, again?
Some lessons learnt...
Have to say, I learnt quite a lot, in the hard way due to my working environment. Learnt to plan ahead, learnt to put on more responsibilities on the shoulder, learnt to protect myself, learnt to talk in the correct way, learnt to be independent. Enough for what happened in work...Have been working out in the gym for the past three months, and one thing good about that place is what my current surroundings is lacking - passion.
That's the one thing most of them share there. Regardless of their sexes, age, or how they look...they just do it. I always have this misconception that yoga was meant for the girls, guess I'm wrong. I always think that dance classes are meant for people with great body figure, guess I'm wrong again.
In the end of the day, what I learnt is that, don't just because someone says you can't do it, then you don't do it, just set yourself free, let the passion flow, and just do it! You haven't seen how well can those plus-sized girls dance, you haven't see how well can men perform in a yoga class...
I can even see my 'barely-visible' six pack in front of the mirror! Opss, sorry yo!
The verdict...
Five long months, seen a lot, learnt a lot, changed a little. Some feelings, they stay inside me, and I'm still struggling to cope with that, and sometimes when the feeling grow so strong, it's just sick to be me. When can I really learn, to let go and to erase that kind of feeling that had been haunting me for so long? Why is this happening to me? More time required, guess so...
Okay, just leave that aside first. That will take a while.
All I need was a listener, a shoulder for me to lean on when I need one. I'm that kind of guy who share good things with people and keep those bad things for myself. That's the problem you see. I got my friends, but friends that I can really talk to...nil. Simply because I don't wish to make my problem part of their problem. And sometimes it's not about the reluctance to voice out, is just that even tho you say it out, would that go make a difference? Keeping mum was just a way to not make things go worse. Most of the time I blog, tweet, just hoping that it could help to ease me a little bit. But it seldom works for me...CAN SOMEONE HEAR MY FUCKING PROBLEM?!!
(I think I'm sleepy right now...and sorry if this is making things sounds sad)
What's next?
Just hoping June will arrive earlier and ends earlier, so I can quit my job and to prepare for varsity.
Some things I really want to do, to go travels, either alone or go
jio some friends who wants to travel too. Still have no real destination in mind, better start thinking! Then also before varsity, I should really go spend some time reconnecting with those friends that I'm beginning to forget how they look like...
One more month to go, hang on!
Sometimes it's good that you are alone, at least you can still hear from yourself. Being alone is being simple, but being simple, doesn't mean being ordinary. Take five, slow down, think, contemplate, and reflect.
